We are no longer accepting paper applications or attachments.  You must complete the electronic application and attach all necessary documents in order to apply for a specific position.  Applicants with complete files will be screened by an administrator, according to established criteria.  An interview team will select the successful candidate for hire. 

 

Our application system is e-mail driven.  If your e-mail address changes, you must update it in the online application system or you will not receive status notifications from us.  If you do not have an e-mail address, you may still apply online for job openings, but you will not receive any electronic status notifications from the Burlington Community School District Human Resources Office.

Within the applications there is an “Attachments” section to be used to submit the following documents.  Each document must be no larger than 2 megabytes.  The total of all attached documents must be no more than 5 megabytes.

 

Administrative Applicants – Application requires cover letter, Iowa Administrative license, current resume, three letters of reference and transcripts (official transcripts will be required if you are selected for a position)

 

Teaching Applicants – Application requires cover letter, Iowa teaching license, current resume, three letters of reference and transcripts (official transcripts will be required if you are selected for a position).

 

Coaching positions – Application requires valid Iowa coaching authorization or endorsement.

 

All other positions require completion of online application only.  Additional attachments are optional.

 

We will continue to advertise teaching and administrative openings on the www.iareap.net website, as well as on the district’s online system.  If you have completed an application on www.iareap.net, we will be able to import that application into the district’s online system.
