Burlington High School is a comprehensive high school of approximately 1,400 students in grades 9-12. It is a public school and is accredited by the Iowa Department of Education and the North Central Association. Burlington High School is located in Burlington, Iowa, a city of 25,000, and Des Moines County in southeast Iowa, USA. The community support of the school is evidenced by the excellent educational programs which are provided.

HS Schedule Change due to Snow Days Print

Due to the snow days, first semester will be extended by two days.  The first day of second semester will be January 11, 2013.


The test schedule will be as follows:


                Wednesday, January 9, 2013 (Two Hour Early Dismissal)


                8:15 – 9:25 a.m.                 Period 5 Solid

                9:30 – 10:40 a.m.              Period 6 Solid

                10:45 – 11:55 a.m.            Period 7 Solid

                12:00 – 12:45 p.m.            Lunch

                12:45 – 1:15 p.m.              Clerical Time


                Thursday, January 10, 2013


                8:15 – 9:25 a.m.                 Period 1 Solid

                9:30 – 10:40 a.m.              Period 2 Solid

                10:45 – 11:55 a.m.            Make-Up Test

                12:00 – 12:45 p.m.            Lunch

                12:50 – 2:00 p.m.              Period 3 Solid

                2:05 – 3:15 p.m.                Period 4 Solid


Make-up tests from Wednesday will need to be scheduled individually.
